The iWitness Pollution Map allows concerned citizens or other eyewitnesses to report accidents at oil refineries and chemical plants. The map also displays National Response Center (NRC) reports of chemical accidents in the state of Louisiana and the surrounding Gulf of Mexico waters.

Highlights from the iWitness Map in May’13 prior to our May 30 Accident Response Team Deployment:
367 reports were made to the iWitness Pollution Map; industry reported 237 accidents to the National Response Center.
18 Shreveport reports described odors, flares, or health effects associated with Calumet Lubricants refinery.
